Rare deer knocked down on Singapore road

Full grown male Sambar Deer

The deer that was knocked down

A rare deer was knocked down recently beside Mandai Road. I didn't know there are deers around in Singapore still!

It's called a Sambar Deer. Vets from the Zoo decided to put it to sleep as it was suffering. Bless the poor animal!
Amazing. Experts say there might be up to 20 of such deers in 100% urbanised Singapore, in little pockets of natural reserves.
